Dagger of Doom: Second Post (Reflex Saves!)
Ok, this book (like several of the others) is much funnier if you put in the D&D mechanics as you read. Thus "the soft wooden planks beneath Driskoll had already begun to give way" translates to "Driskoll triggered a pit trap and failed his reflex save (and maybe should have *not* pissed of the rogue a second ago)". Believe me, it makes the book much more entertaining to read.

Beyond that, the book is only so-so thus far. The plot hook was really good (the dagger legend). The strange excuses for the adults not being around (Wizard teacher = on vacation, Bard mentor = sleeping all the time, Father = on mysterious and unknowable adult business that is probably boring) are getting old. That said, I'm only a little way in so it's really hard to say. I guess we'll see!

At least the city seems to have recovered from it's mysterious pixie infestation.
